Dragon taming Rage
Damien sat quietly at the bar he was at, sipping a drink. He was wearing a pair of nice pants, and a dress shirt as he thought quietly. How long had it been since he lost his last job, because Ciel killed one, and destroyed the house. He sighed, trying not to turn back to street fighting. He'd done so much to get away from it...so much hard training. He rested one arm on the bar, and gently pressed two fingers to the bridge of his nose as he thought. He felt them press against his eyes gently, but didn't care. The only thing he really knew how to do was fight. Sure, he had somewhere upwards of three mil in the bank. But he needed something to do. He sighed softly, and sipped his drink again, just listening to everything around him.
A small figure entered the bar, cloak carefully around her head so on could only see her lips. There was no way she was old enough to be in here.. so short but she reached the bar and placed a few coins onto the bar. "A room please." her voice was gentle coming from it, hand was dirty as she retracted it back into the cloak. She needed a hot shower so badly.. she could still feel the blood on her body despite washing in the river. She was terrified.. knew she should have kept going but maybe that was something they would expect? for her to keep running and not stop so soon. God how long had it been? Her stomach growled and she cringed. She needed to hunt.. but to take that form was suicide now.
Damien heard the figure and looked over at her. He thought calmly and stood. "Send her a meal on me." He said calmly to the bar tender, rising as well. "You can ask her later what she wants exactly." He said calmly, standing and picking up his own room key. His eyes were calm, but his body was craving something...some kind of violence. He shook his head, and walked up slowly, leaving his drink at the bar.
She felt utter relief when she managed to scrub the grim and dirt from her body and was just getting out of the shower when the phone rang. She went to it, the bar tender told her she was getting a free meal from another patron and she sighed.. she hated handouts but she needed to eat. It wasn't long before the meal arrived, just meat and vegetables. She forced herself only to eat the vegetables and half the meat.. she would save the other half for when she was on the road. She'd have to steal to get some bread and other supplies. Abella laid down on the bed, slipping off to sleep as the commotion down stairs started. Large men came into the place, flashing a picture of a young girl with orange hair and bright eyes around, asking if anyone had seen her.
Damien looked at him calmly, then the picture. "Why are you looking for him?" He asked calmly. He was hoping there was a damn good reason...he didn't want to cause any unnecessary damage.
"Her.. and she's wanted for many things. Theft, destruction of property, and murder. She's dangerous and a criminal. We can make it worth anyone's time if they have any word about her. We're going to search the rooms as well." he motioned to one of the other soldiers to go up with the inn keeper and start opening rooms. Abella's eyes snapped open she heard the door knob rattle. she grabbed her bag, always had it ready to flee at any moment and her cloak, wrapping it around her but cursed when she moved to window and there were bars. She slid beneath the small bed space, heart racing as the door opened.
"Get out." Damien said coldly. "I've been wanted for many things. Assault, theft, destruction of property. Even murder. But I know when someone has something inside them they're secretly afraid of. His skin was starting to ripple, and split, revealing the dark purple like flesh beneath. Two horns started forming on his head, pushing out as his facade started to fall away. When a clean split had formed down his middle, it flew off him, his wings jutting out of his back while he stretched out his claws. "This person...your full of shit. There's no way someone that looks that young and innocent could EVER be what you say." He said, his voice cold, and revirbirating with strength that couldn't be described.
"Don't be stupid! You don't even know her!" he shouted. The soldier went into the room, starting to move stuff around but turned and ripped the bed up. "I've got her!" he called out. Abella bolted from under the bed, a very unhuman scream ripping from her throat as she landed on him and started to shift, the claws tearing out his throat. The blood sprayed across the room and she bolted again. Soldiers scrambled into the in, large black rods glowing of yellow
Damien moved in front of the stairs, his eyes cold. "Try going past." He snarled. "I dare you." When one tried, one clawed hand tore off the upper half of his skull. "This isn't a good time for you. Sorry." He snarled, throwing the decapitated soldier's head at his commanding officer. There was a coldness about him. More so as he slammed a fist into the wall, destroying it. "That's me holding back. You don't stand a chance, no matter how many you have."
The man just laughed. "You have no idea who you are facing.. Ghost!" he called out and a ethereal form moved through the soldiers, twisted and black. It's claws twitched as it seemed to pass straight through the man in the way. He could almost feel the burning evil intentions within the spirit as it passed through him, moving forward through the walls themselves to go after the girl.
Damien's eyes narrowed. "So be it." He growled, running up the stairs quickly to where the scream had come from. He pushed what was left of the door open, ran to the opposite wall, and destroyed it with a single blow. "I don't know what you are, but go! They've sent Ghost, what ever the fuck that is."
The girl looked up, hearing that a ghost was coming for her.. she had no choice. She turned and leapt, the tiny girl suddenly becoming a dragon. 9 feet tall the dragon slammed through the wall and crushed it but in a split second Ghost was upon her. The dragon let out a cry of agony as the ghost leapt onto her and mounted onto her back, reaching down to grab her neck and hands slipped into her and the creature became corporal. It held to her as her wings gave out and she crashed onto the ground.
Damien followed them out, taking the moment that they struck ground while he was still coporeal, to rip out his spine...along with the rest of his skeleton. His eyes were cold, and there was no remorse what so ever.
He didn't get the chance quite.. rather as soon as he grabbed to it his hands sucked in and held. Wave of pain hit him hard and the girl screamed too. It was enough to bring them down quickly. "I told you, you idiot.. we hunt dragons for a living.. you think we can't bring down a normal demon?" the soldiers laughed and moved around them. The red haired girl moved forward, fighting the agony and touched him, a shock of fire moved through him and she managed one word. "Burn.." she whispered.
Damien screamed in pain, but managed to nod. He focused, using what she gave him to burn this creature. Burn him from the inside. Even as his own body grew in pain and anger, he kept burning until the Ghost was nothing but ash. He had grown another foot and a half by the time he was done, and turned slowly to the soldiers. "Ye as I walk through the valley of the shadow of death. I shall fear no evil. For I am the Reverend." He said coldly, moving towards the soldiers.
The soldier vanished into plooms of smoke, gone before he could reach them. She small framed woman laid on the ground, now unconscious from the effort she had put forth to give him that power.
He picked her up gently, holding her tiny form in his arms. His wings spread far, and he took off into the sky. After a few minutes at breakneck speed, he landed in front of his house and carried her inside, laying her gently on the bed.
She was unconscious for a few hours, and as she came around her body heart and she glanced around, confused but then leapt up and looked around, trying to remember more and why she was here.
Damien looked at her calmly, and smiled. "Thank you...for helping me back there. Yes, it was to help yourself as well." He said calmly. "Rest...you look like you've been on the run for months." He said calmly.
